Preco, LLC was the first to pioneer the use of industrial lasers to modify and enhance flexible packaging material. We continually expand our laser systems technology and contract service capabilities to meet the needs of the packaging market for convenient easy-open, breathable and microwave venting applications.

Preco provides high quality, cost-effective laser processing systems for flexible packaging. Our FlashLite™ laser modules are designed to be integrated over virtually any existing production line. Cross Web systems direct the laser beam across the web for shape processing applications. Web Direction systems are utilized for scoring, venting and micro-perforating.

• Laser Scoring for Consumer Convenience (AcuTear®) is a process for providing easy-open/easy-tear flexible packaging while maintaining the strength and barrier properties.
• Laser Perforating for Modified Atmosphere Packaging (AcuBreathe®) is a process utilized to extend the shelf life in fresh cut produce or for burst protection applications when changes in air pressure are a concern.
• Short Laser Scored line segments are used for Microwave Venting (AcuVent®) applications to allow for a controlled release of the steam through these vents.
