Tom's Perfect 10:
The Subscription-Based Granola

After an epic search spanning years and continents, advertising executive, granola connoisseur, and Instagram influencer Tom Bannister is finally unveiling the crunchy results of his quest with the official launch of Tom's Perfect 10. The first flavor — Ginger Zing — will be available for purchase on Instagram Checkout and Shopify — with new flavors to follow every quarter.

Tom began his granola journey as a dilettante, casually grading granolas in frequent "TOMtalks" on his wife Eva Chen's Instagram (@evachen212). Unable to find his perfect granola, he began concocting his own with the help and occasional messy misadventures of his two young children. When the pandemic struck and Tom found himself confined to a New York City apartment, Tom launched a subscription-based flavor-of-the-month granola club which instantly had a waitlist of 10,000-plus, earning it the moniker of the "Birkin of Granolas."

With each monthly granola, Tom invites his community to give feedback via a scorecard—sharing their "grainular" analysis of his oat-y delights with the world. After analyzing thousands of reviews, Tom's Perfect 10 brand is launching widely. "Granola is so much more than just a breakfast choice — it's an afternoon snack or a midnight treat," says Tom. "Like human nature, it can be both sweet and salty. Healthy or decadent. There are no rules, no roadblocks, and no limits to what's possible. I believe there's a perfect granola waiting out there for everybody."

FreshSAFE Packaging System from MULTIVAC for Equilibrium Atmosphere Packs

MULTIVAC has introduced a new way to control the metabolic process to help fruit and vegetables remain fresh and appetizing in the pack up to the point of consumption. The company says its FreshSAFE packaging system produces equilibrium atmosphere (EMAP) packs, which optimizes the oxygen content in the packs in a continuous, natural and sustainable way.

The FreshSAFE process involves pre-perforated films, or films perforated mechanically on the MULTIVAC packaging machine itself, which ensure that a controlled oxygen permeability is achieved, and this can be matched exactly to the specific respiration characteristics of the particular fresh product. The objective is always to maintain the most beneficial concentration of oxygen and carbon dioxide for the particular product. This EMAP is achieved through the interaction between the respiration of the product and the required permeability of the film. The FreshSAFE packaging system can be produced on thermoforming packaging machines and traysealers as well as chamber machines.

Due to the FreshSAFE microperforation system, MULTIVAC says product retains all its sensory characteristics in the pack, as well keeping it appetizing and fresh. Additionally, a product’s shelf life is significantly longer than products packed in other types of packaging, according to the company.

Hank’s Gourmet Beverages Unveils Retro Labeling

Hank’s Gourmet Beverages, the Philadelphia-based, third-generation family business which helped launch the craft soda boom in the mid-1990s, announced that it’s marking its 25th anniversary with throwback labeling across its 10-flavor line.

The new labeling revisits the style of Hank’s launch brand, its Hank’s Gourmet Root Beer, named in honor of the company founder, businessman and Philadelphia politician Hank Salvatore. The belly of each bottle will feature the classic oval label set against a silver and red background with the word’s “Philadelphia Recipe” honoring the city’s notoriety as the birthplace of root beer and the root beer float. The neck label will feature the words “25th Anniversary” as a shout out to the brand’s milestone.

“We’re honored that our family company has achieved this milestone, our Silver Anniversary of good taste if you will,” says Tony Salvatore, partner and chief customer officer of Hank’s Gourmet Beverages. “From a modest regional brand to one that spans coast-to-coast, from one flavor to now 10 and soon more, our good fortune and growth has been most gratifying. Lumson Introduces Glass Bottle Design Called Kube

Lumson’s two new 30-mL bottles are an homage to the iconic geometric shape that with its simplicity and purity has breathed life into numerous interpretations in art and design.  

The minimalism of the cube is the springboard for unleashing creativity; its pure silhouette is the inspiration for looking into new combinations and material. This occurs in art, design and decorating.

The solid shape, essential contours and modularity that characterize the cube lend themselves to new forms of interpretation and this geometric shape morphs into a precious source of inspiration for cult objects: from the Brionvega radio to the iconic Rubik cube, from Le Corbusier’s architecture to the two-dimensional works of Sol Lewitt.

Even urban architecture seems to have drawn great inspiration from the solid geometry of the cube. Modularity, one of the composition’s key elements, becomes the cornerstone of buildings and skyscrapers inspired by the metabolism, motion that blends mega metropolitan buildings with vegetation.

To celebrate the cube and its modernity, Lumson created two new 30-ml glass bottles: H-Kube and IT-Kube. Same inspiration, a different silhouette.

H Kube has a slenderer shape, while IT-Kube is more compact. In Kube, cap and bottle blend together, yielding a never-before-seen shape refined by rounded corners and a harmonious silhouette, easy to use and perfect for make care and skincare products.

Luxury is all in the details — Lumson knows this well — and so to confer prestige to the bottle and enhance the product it contains, the company decided to make the bottles out of thickened glass.

H-Kube and IT-Kube can be paired with different dispenser systems (pump/dropper) for optimal product distribution.

HighBridge Premium Cannabis Partners with Great White Industries of Arizona

HighBridge, currently has five THC infused beverages production ready. Great White will first product the "one of a kind" HighBridge Aphrodisiac Shot, HigherLove, targeted for production yet this month. The parties expect to be in full distribution of the entire line of HighBridge Products in the first quarter of 2022.
