all® free clear has announced the brand will be the first laundry detergent in the U.S. to incorporate NaviLens technology on its packaging and will be featured on the all® free clear MIGHTY PACS® Original laundry detergent tubs and pouches. Dedicated to creating more accessible environments, NaviLens is a navigation and scanning app for those with low vision and blindness. With more than 7 million Americans living with low vision, the all® free clear brand recognizes the strong need for resources that provide greater independence and access during their day-to-day experiences.

“With NaviLens technology on our all® free clear MIGHTY PACS® Original packaging, we aim to make laundry more accessible so people can complete this essential, everyday task with greater ease and peace of mind,” said Philipp Schaffer, Corporate Senior Vice President and Regional Head of Henkel Consumer Brands North America. “We are pleased to make laundry care more inclusive — from the store to home.”

NaviLens smart codes will be located on the front of all® free clear MIGHTY PACS® Original, which are pre-measured unit-dose detergent pacs that provide added convenience on laundry day. Once individuals download the NaviLens app, the device detects NaviLens codes, audibly notifying the user of the product name, type, dosing instructions and precise in-store location. NaviLens can benefit those with blindness, low vision, language barriers and anyone in need of additional resources.

“Our partnership with all® free clear laundry detergent marks an important step in offering NaviLens technology in everyday household products, enhancing the shopping experience for all consumers,” said Javier Pita, Chief Executive Officer of NaviLens. “It is our mission to empower people who are blind or have low vision through our cutting-edge technology.”

Energizer Launches 100% Recyclable Plastic-Free Packaging for Batteries

Energizer Holdings, Inc., one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of primary batteries, has announced the launch of 100% recyclable plastic-free packaging for its portfolio of Energizer® batteries. The new paper-based packaging offers a sleek, user-friendly design that simplifies the shopping, opening and storage experience for consumers. It also elevates in-store displays, creating a visually appealing presence on retail shelves, making it easier for retail partners to merchandise.

As a leader in sustainability and innovation, this redesign marks an exciting milestone for Energizer in advancing its commitment to environmental stewardship while also addressing a major consumer desire for more renewable solutions. Starting this month, the plastic-free packaging will roll out at Walmart stores nationwide and online, with additional North American retailers following later in 2025.

“With a legacy of pioneering innovative solutions that benefit consumers globally, advancing the sustainability of our packaging was a natural next step on our responsibility journey,” said Lori Shambro, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Energizer. “We set out to create a more intuitive design tailored to meet the needs and expectations of our shoppers and retail partners. Colorful assortment of Dr. Bronner’s chocolate bars

Dr. Bronner's Debuts New Look for Chocolate Bars

Dr. Bronner’s, the family-owned natural brand, has launched a new wrapper design for its line of Dark and Oat Milk Chocolate. The new labels offer improved legibility and brand recognition on retail shelves, with enlarged font sizes to better identify flavors, and differentiate between Dark and Oat Milk varieties.

Additionally, the new wrappers boast enhanced colors and simplified flavor names, to ease consumer selection and visibility. All ingredients and flavor options remain the same, with a suggested retail price of $5.99. Dr. Bronner’s chocolate is made from a blend of Regenerative Organic Certified ingredients including cocoa from Ivory Coast, coconut sugar from Indonesia, and cocoa butter from Congo.

In addition to the updated wrappers, the company has announced that the Swiss chocolate maker and long-term chocolate manufacturing partner of Dr. Bronner’s, Maestrani Schokoladen, doing business as Magic Chocolate Inc., will assume responsibility for the distribution of Dr. Bronner’s Magic All-One Chocolate to wholesale and retail, effective January 1. In a letter to distributors, retailers, and other trade partners last year, Dr. Bronner’s shared that Maestrani will draw on its 172 years of experience and expertise in global distribution to enhance operational efficiency for Dr. Bronner’s Magic All-One Chocolate.

Dr. Bronner’s launched its line of chocolate bars in 2021, as a direct result of the company’s work to partner with farmers to improve the health and productivity of small-scale farms. These farms promote fair trade and regenerative organic agriculture while modeling dynamic agroforestry techniques.
