Flexible Packaging Association Announces Winners
of FPA Achievement Awards

This year, 20 exceptional packages were honored with 34 Achievement Awards.

The Flexible Packaging Association recently announced the winners of the 2025 FPA Achievement Awards, highlighting innovative flexible packaging solutions in a variety of categories such as materials, graphics, structure, new uses, extended shelf life and sustainability. Learn more about some of the award-winning packages from these companies below.

ProAmpac Earns Six Awards, Including Highest Achievement Award

ProAmpac, a global leader in flexible packaging and material science, earned significant success at the 2025 Flexible Packaging Achievement Awards. The company earned multiple honors, including the prestigious Highest Achievement Award for its PRO-EVO® Recyclable FL.

Printpack Earns Six Awards Spanning Variety of Categories

Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible and specialty rigid packaging, earned six FPA Achievement Awards in four different categories.

The company won Gold Awards for Technical Innovation and Packaging Excellence, and a Silver Award for Sustainability for the Frito-Lay Compostable Super Bowl Bags. Super Bowl LVIII offered Frito-Lay the opportunity to highlight its ambitious pep+ (PepsiCo Positive) sustainable goals with a direct-to-consumer package at their “Chip Strip” in Las Vegas. Consumers enjoyed their favorite Game Day snacks, including Lay’s®, Doritos®, Cheetos®, and Tostitos® all in eye-catching, commercially compostable packaging.

Printpack also won a Gold Award for Shelf Impact for the new Goldfish® Crisps package. Making a big splash in the marketplace, the new packages have a completely different form factor from any other Goldfish product.

The Purina Beggin’® Bacon & Peanut Butter Stix “For the Win” package received a Silver Award for Shelf Impact. To coincide with the Summer Games and to “invite dog owners and their pets to satisfy their winning spirit,” Purina launched the Purina for the Win campaign on limited-edition packages.

Rounding out the six awards was a Silver Award for Technical Innovation for Mars’ SKITTLES® Commercially Compostable Peg Bag. As part of Mars’ continued work to create a safe, healthy and sustainable world, this package was developed to give consumers a more sustainable way to Taste The Rainbow®.

Novolex® Earns Gold Award for Compostable Butter Wrap

Novolex® earned a Gold Award for Sustainability from the Flexible Packaging Association for its new compostable butter wrap, Manufactured by Novolex company Shields®, the new TerreGloss™ and Terrecote™ butter wraps seamlessly blend performance and sustainability to meet the needs of both consumers and dairies alike.

Novolex makes TerreGloss and Terrecote butter wraps using a proprietary, high-performance blend of wax that is free of intentionally added PFAS. The wrap, made for 4 oz. butter sticks, is one of the first of its kind to earn the BPI certification for compostability. The certification verifies that the wrap meets all the applicable requirements for industrial composting, unlike wraps made with paper-foil or paper-poly, for example.
